China's mold industry usher in new opportunities for development
By 2015, China's mold industry will exceed 2 trillion yuan in output value. As the developed countries' manufacturing industries have shifted to China, the Chinese mold industry has ushered in a new round of development opportunities. Although the export of molds in China has continued to increase in recent years, the level of international competitiveness has also increased. However, most of them are concentrated in the middle and low-grade areas. The technical level of the molds is low, the added value is low, and some high-precision molds also rely on imports. Therefore, the domestic mold manufacturing industry must strengthen integration in various fields.
The implementation of the strategy of expanding domestic demand will promote the development of China's manufacturing industry. Among them, the development of mold and large user industries such as automobiles, home appliances, IT industry, packaging, building materials and daily necessities will continue to provide a large market space for the development of molds. For example, more than 90% of automotive manufacturing processes use molds. Automotive-related molds account for nearly one-third of the total molds in China. Germany, Japan, and the United States account for more than 40%. The development of automotive molds relies mainly on the launch of new models; More than 90% of plastic products are molded by molds. Therefore, plastic molds account for 45% of China's total mold volume. China's plastic products approach 60 million tons in 2012, and annual growth is 15% to 20%.
In the related industries, we have introduced mold products with independent intellectual property rights. Now China's mold industry through the introduction of foreign capital, absorbing the advanced experience of foreign mold manufacturing, advanced technology and high-level talent, China's mold design and manufacturing levels have greatly improved. To vigorously strengthen independent innovation, industries in the transformation of growth methods and optimization of industrial structure all require a higher level of mold machinery and equipment, providing a vast space for the development of the mold industry. More importantly, the implementation of the 12th Five-Year Plan, as well as the development policies of emerging strategic industries, regional development plans, and policies to revive the equipment manufacturing industry will provide new growth points for the mold and die industry.
Due to manufacturing costs in foreign industrial countries and other reasons, the demand for middle-to-high-end molds, including some high-end molds, is mainly resolved through external procurement. China's mold level and export capacity can fully meet the needs, so the mold export market is huge. At present, China's mold industry has formed a number of unique mold industry cluster production base, provides a platform for the scientific development of mold enterprises, the company's ability to innovate has also been continuously improved, with a number of independent intellectual property rights, China's mold enterprises will have in the future Stronger competitiveness.
